Disability Employment Advisers at Jobcentre Plus help disabled people with job seeking, training and finding disability-friendly employers.

Access to Work

Can pay for support at interviews and in work, such as a job coach, specialist equipment, or taxi fares if you can't use public transport.

Connect to Work

18+City region

Voluntary employment support for Liverpool City Region residents with a health condition or disability, or in certain other groups. Usually for 18+, and for 16–17 only in exceptional circumstances.

Supported internships

EHCP16–24

A year-long, work-based study programme with a job coach, for young people with an EHCP who want to move into paid work.

📏 Working at 16 and 17

In England, young people must stay in education or training until they are 18. That doesn't mean you can't work. You can:
